Art is fun. Growth is real.
That’s the heart of Aoi Art Class — an anime-focused online art school founded by Yao Ping in July 2023. What started as a small passion project has now grown into a vibrant learning space with over 400 students from all walks of life, both kids and adults.
At Aoi, we believe everyone can learn to draw, no matter their starting point. That’s why our courses are designed for all skill levels — from beginners who are just picking up the pencil to more advanced artists looking to refine their techniques. We focus on anime art, covering essentials like anatomy , character design, digital painting, colouring, and storytelling.
Our classes are held on Discord, creating a lively and interactive learning environment where students can ask questions, get feedback, and learn alongside others in real-time. It’s a space where friendships are formed, creativity flows, and everyone grows together.
Even though we’re an online school, we’re deeply connected offline too. We regularly host physical activities like:
Art Competitions and student showcases
Workshop and hands-on events
Seasonal parties and anime gatherings
Gallery exhibition and merchandise contests
These events give our students the chance to meet face-to-face, build confidence, and experience the joy of art in a real-world setting.
We also have our very own Aoi Art Class mascots — Aoi Kano, a bright and imaginative girl, and her brother Aoi Kaien, a passionate young artist. They represent the spirit of our students: curious, dedicated, and always growing.
